These lamps are designed to provide
exceptionally long life and reliability as well as instant
re-ignition after momentary power interruptions. They are provided
with two identical arc tubes that operate one at a time. The
second tube is ready for instant starting if the power to the
first is interrupted momentarily. Since they operate alternately
during life, the combined lives of the two provides and
exceptionally long lamp life.
